Hosea Holder Sr.

I don't even know where to begin to express my deepest sympathy in the loss of your father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. My grandmother lived on McPherson in the same block as Mr. and Mrs. Holder and we were blessed to have had them in our lives. Mrs. Holder babysat me when I was knee high to an ant (I'm 35 now)! I spent a lot of time with them in church and was even baptized at Nazarene because of them. My fondest memories of the both of them are when Mr....

Your father, grandfather,greatgrandfather, and great-great grandfather was my neighbor on Mcpherson (with his GREEN Caddy)I would go on to meet Hosea Jr. and the 3rd, and last but not least "YO". What a legacy Mr. Holder has left to carry on. He lived a long life and has left the Holder name in GOOD hands. You all have my condolences. May Mr. Holder rest in peace.

I just happened upon Mr. Holder's obituary. I work at West Penn Hospital and had taken Mr. Holder's xrays many times in the past several years. I'm very sorry for your loss & just wanted you to know that he impressed many. In an era where it's rare, he stood out as a fine gentleman and a good man. You were lucky to have him for so many years.
