Not sure what to say?

With aloha and warmest thoughts to the family of Mr. Freeman. We will rememeber him as a gracious and caring man who touched the lives of many people. Mr. Freeman's legacy will live forever through the choices taken by the young students who were supported by his vison, actions and wisdom. Jane Heimerdinger at `Iolani

We learned of the passing of Mr. Freeman from our daughter. She is spending her Junior college year sudying language and culture in Kyoto, Japan. If it were not for the generosity of the Freeman family and Foundation she would not have had this experience. Our heartfelt sympathies and grateful appreciation.

I send condolences from my family, upon hearing of the loss of Buck Freeman. My father, S. Whitney Landon III, was especially sorry to hear the news, as he has fond remembrances of Buck and his family. My brother, S. W. Landon IV, and I send special thoughts to Greensboro friend Graeme Freeman. Our thoughts are with you all.

The generosity of grants from the Freeman Foundation made improvements to the Enosburgh (VT) Public Library that help the library provide service that is current and significant. Condolences to the family from your neighbors in Enosburgh. Sue Tillotson, Librarian

I am sure that I speak for the Rikkyo University (Tokyo, Japan) community in expressing my deepest condolences to the Freeman family for their loss. The Freeman Foundation generously supported American students coming to our university for a year abroad in the hopes of creating a better understanding among Japanese and Americans.

I send all of the Freeman family my condolences on the loss of such an inspirational leader in the field of education. So many teachers and others have benefited from the generosity of the Freeman Foundation and I know the work of all of those touched by the many programs organized in the Foundations name will continue to teach about East and Southeast Asia for years to come in Mr. Freeman's memory.
Blanche Milligan, Northeast Cultural Coop

My deepest condolences. For many years our family was part od aig family and my dad would have been very proud to know that Buck Freeman attended his funeral in 1986 on behalf of AIG.
