RIP Mr. Howard Baker. Here is a candle that I now remembered to add to my comments. Heaven gained another great man.

Condolences to the friends, family members, his pilot, pets, etc. reading about his passing. We just lost #41. RIP Mr. Baker. From PA.

I remember the one and only time I met Howard Baker. I was a young girl, 20 yrs old, working at the hotel next to the Memphis Airport. Mr. Baker was in town campaigning for election.

I saw all these people coming and going with Baker buttons on, and being so young, I thought it was a baker's convention.

Mr. Baker would go out during the day and evening campaigning, but when he came back to the hotel he always stopped and chatted with me for awhile at the front desk.

As the only University of Tennessee Director of Special Events I spent a number of events staging with and for Senator Baker through my 16 years. He was a favorite among my peers and was always grateful for the work and care he received from the departments for which I brought into the fold to produce outstanding events for the Senator. He is missed.
