Oh, Mona and family. I just learned this news from Ross B. I am so sorry. Howard was such a wonderful person. I still have his sketches of one of our trips to Mexico -- he was a brilliant scientist and also a joy to be around. Thinking of all of you.

I knew Howard as a graduate physics student of his in the 1970s at UNM. He was a gifted teacher and researcher and I thought just a wonderful person. I was honored to have known him.
