Mr. Carey, a favorite teacher! And that warm and wonderful smile! You made history come alive, and brought me to understanding world relationships and my need to read a newspaper. Loved you.

I was fortunate to have Mr. Carey as my social studies instructor for three years. Without him, I would not have been able to learn, given my state of depression over my high school years. Mr. Carey demonstrated a high respect for his students and provided to all an example of the consummate gentleman. I always thought of Mr. Carey as someone deserving of the highest regard and send my late condolences to his family. I feel certain he is greatly missed.
