Not sure what to say?

My Name is Jimmy Westerfield, and I just found out today 7/23/19 of My dear Friend and Former Doctor's passing. It saddens me that I didn't know about this sooner. I would love to share my Memory of Him, But It would take way to much space. I literally Loved this kind and Gentle Man. He done so much fo me in my time of him Being my Physician. I want express and send my Condolences out to His Wife and family at this time of sadness. Dr. Cheek meant the world to me, and he seem to think...

He was the very best doctor I ever had for many years! A very kind and great person!

Howard was a dear friend as well as our doctor. We graduated from Grenada High School in 1951, and stayed in touch through the years. He was a fine man and a credit to his family, friends and his profession. I will treasure his memory as I did his friendship. Condolences to all his family.

My sister, Betty Pearson Moor, (Greenwood, MS) and I lived across the street in Grenada from Howard in the late 1940s. We followed his activities through the years, and were impressed by his contributions to society! He was truly a fine person and will be missed by all who knew him. May God bless his family and give them strength and courage to sustain them in their loss.

Howard was a role model for all of us
as High School mates in Grenada. Kind, courteous, dependable, studious, and always open to new friendships. I was a Freshman when he was a Senior, and I was always awed by his attentive smile and mellifluous voice. I followed him to Millsaps, but regret that I never got to see him after our High School days. It was a privilege to know, and respect him. Heartfelt condolences to his family!
