Not sure what to say?

Howard was my boss in animal rearing at Upjohn for about 7 years. I was not a righteous man by any means and maybe he knew that. But Howard always saw the best in people. This was evident many years later when I was a Deacon at a local church and had to perform my mother's funeral. After all was said and done I asked if anyone wanted to say something. A tall white haired man started down the aisle and I swear he had a Moses like aura around him. When he got close enough I knew it was Howard....

Howard was my boss for a while at the Upjohn Company. A great man of godly character. Later in 2008 when my mother had passed away, Howard attended her funeral which I was officiating. When I asked if anyone had anything to say about my mother, he came down the aisle towards me. I had not seen him in many many years. He came to the platform, hugged me and took a step back and just stood there pointing at me smiling. He said some nice things about my mother and then he said "If you only knew...

Howard and Carol were our neighbors for many years. We enjoyed the little time we enjoyed together and always had friendly conversations. I still see Howard out there bailing hay or on his tractor mowing. Great people and Howard will be missed. Prayers for Carol and the family. Savor the wonderful memories!

Howard was my brother-in law and thru 70 plus years I have many wonderful and humorous memories. I loved his humor how he would throw his head back when he laughed. We did a few trips together in our motorhomes to the West coast-fun times for sure. My sister Carol & Howard raised 6 wonderful kids. Howard was truly an exceptional man and will be missed by all! RIP

Though we both worked at Upjohn, I don't recall seeing Howard there, though I had interactions with the area in which Howard worked, delivering product research samples for animal testing. I first met Howard and Carol at Portage Free Methodist Church many years ago, and enjoyed engaging them in conversations. I frequently also saw him at the Battle Creek VA, where he served for many years as a greeter and directing veterans and family to wherever they intended to go, whether for appointments...

Howard and Carol attended the Sunday School class I taught for a number of years at Portage Free Methodist church. They were regular contributors to the class and I valued their input and friendship. I miss them and the class since moving to Nebraska.

Had the pleasure of working for Howard summer of 79, while finishing up school. Had a lot of fun working around research rodents. Rest in peace, Howard.
