I will always remember Dr. Conant as an elegant gentleman who had a kind, encouraging word for most everyone. We had numerous cordial exchanges during his leadership at the U.of A. and I as head of PCC Art Dept. He was very very generous. My deepest condolences to the gracious Mrs. Conant in her loss and to his family.

Howard made such a difference in so many lives. He was a wonderful man who cared about everyone. He was very giving and loving, and I'm very grateful for having known him. He was also very good at Scrabble, as my grandkids will attest to! He had an unlimited amount of patience, and loved to teach children learn to draw and paint. He has left his handprint on many of our lives, and I will always be grateful to have known him and been part of his life. His "Adopted Daughter", Susan
