Mr. Howard “Sonny” E. Cullen, 77, of Bay Hill Rd., Northfield, died at Concord Hospital on Dec. 27, 2005.
He was born in Salisbury on July 11, 1928 the son of Howard and Emiline (Guyutte) Cullen and resided in the Franklin and Northfield area most of his life. Mr. Cullen served as a corporal in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Several years ago, Mr. Cullen operated a farm on Bay Hill Rd. in Northfield. He worked for over twenty years at Surrette Battery in Northfield until it’s closing. Mr. Cullen was a member of The Whiteman-Davidson American Legion Post #49 in Northfield. He enjoyed bowling and golfing and played in the Wyman-Gordon Gold League at Den Brae Golf Course.
Family members include his wife of 36 years, Mrs. Cheryl (Corneau) Cullen of Northfield, 7 children: Jeff Cullen of Franklin; Patricia Dearborn of Andover, Mass., James Cullen of Concord; Andrew Cullen of Hawaii; Melissa Soule of Dunbarton; Howard G. Cullen of Penacook, and Michelle Bryson of Northfield; several grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother, Joseph Cullen of Brooksville, Fla., and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 30th at 10:30 am at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield, NH, with Rev. Richard Giroux, officiating. Interment will be in NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. There are no visiting hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Cullen may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
