Not sure what to say?

I remember that when I turned 18, Uncle Howard took me to Snuffy's restaurant in Scotch Plains and bought me my first legal drink. Just the 2 of us. It was a very special to me that he took the time out of his life to treat me like family. He was always caring for me and other people. Miss him every day.

Mr. Fields was a True Southern Gentleman. He would walk through the door at Pinckney Elementary School with a smile on his face, always asked how everyone was doing (and he genuinely cared) and usually had something cute or funny to say. What a blessing he was to Pinckney! We lost a good one on May 30, and he will be missed.

We were so blessed to get to know your dad during his time volunteering at Pinckney Elementary. My own daughter had the opportunity to read with him several times and loved the days when she got to go to the library with Mr. Fields. Prayers for comfort and peace for all of you.

For over 10 years Mr. Fields volunteered with students in my classroom. He was a blessing to so many students who attended Pinckney. I cannot tell you how I have been changed by just knowing Mr. Fields. Thank you for sharing him with me for so many years.

Howard was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever encountered. He pretty much accepted me for one of his own as I have been best friends with Gregory for the better part of 30 years. He always had time to give me advice and tried as hard as he could to make a boy into a man with me. I am honored to have had a role model like him to teach me about responsibility and how to be a firm but loving father. Dad, you will be surely missed and always close to my heart. See you again in heaven, if I...

Howard Fields was a truly extraordinary man. His warmth and kindness were experienced by everyone who knew him. He had a great sense of humor as well as an abiding faith in God.

He loved unconditionally and with all of his heart. He especially loved his family, which I was lucky enough to be included in on a regular basis.

One evening, as a 17 year old girl, I was asked to babysit for 6 children while my parents and their coworkers went to a company function. I...

Love you Dad and we miss you terribly Marcy

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. May the God of all comfort be with you through this difficult time. Isa. 61:1,2. I hope your memories sustain you and the scriptures bring you peace and hope.
