Not sure what to say?

Howard, Kenny and Dennis,

Please accept our condolences on the death of your father. Words cannot express the pain you are feeling, but always remember how much your father loved you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and always. If there is anything we can do for you, please call us.

It is with fond memories of our basketball days, from playground to Br. Martin that I remember my friend Joey, a true team player. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, his family, in this time of sorrow.

To the Heffernan family,

Before I even had the opportunity to meet Howard or work with him in the 1st district, I constantly heard him on the radio in the 8th district, leading by example. He, as a lieutenant, was forever answering calls for service or writing reports just to keep the "backlog" down. When he arrived in the 1st district, it was no different. Plenty of times Howard would get to a scene and have the situation in control before the assigned units even arrived on...

To the Heffernan family,
I came to know Joey at St. Frances Cabrini grammar school, and I have nice memories of him. He was a great guy. We went on to attend the same high school. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family and his closest friends.

To the Heffernan family:
I knew Joe since kindergarten at St. Francis Cabrini and all through the years at Brother Martin High School. Although I have not kept in touch with him since those days, I do remember him well. He was a great guy and I am sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.

Sue, Rob & I were so sorry to hear of your loss. Although, we had only met Joe a few times,it was easy to appreciate what a nice man he was, with a delghtful sense of humor and loved the game of golf. Please accept our condolensences for your loss.

To the Heffernan Family: I knew your father many, many years ago. He and I went to grammer school together at St. Francis Cabrini elementary school. We had a big group that all hung out together in the afternoons and had a great time. I have not seen him in many years but I wanted to express my condolences to you. He was a wonderful friend back then and I know he will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Sue Sue, We are shocked to learn of Joe's passing, just found out about it yesterday. I cannot even begin to understand what you must be going through. You know I remember when you and Joe first met, We really liked him and thought you two made a great couple, I know you made each other very happy. Even though we have been distant for some years I often thought about you guys. If there is anything I can do please call me. We will keep you in our prayers.

Dear Sue and Family:

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. My condolences to you and your family. I only met Joe once when we went to the Hornets game and he was a very nice man. You are in my prayers.
