Not sure what to say?

I knew Rabbi for 3 decades: he was my mentor, colleague, but most of all my friend. We had a special friendship. My condolences to Joan, their children, and the synagogue. A loss of great magnitude

To Avra, Seth, and Jonathan, our families are many decades from our time at the synagogue, but the memories of our time with your families, Passover Seders at your home, singing and slapping the table, speeding through the songs without catching a breath, are my first views of how rich a Jewish home can be. We wish you our deepest condolences on the loss of your father. May his memory be a blessing- Joan, Elicia, and Marni, Alan and I share condolences with you too. This must be such a hard...

May the memories and celebrations you have shared with your beloved Rabbi be a comfort during this difficult time of mourning and the years ahead

Rabbi Hersch was a huge inspiration to me. He took 3 of us as kids who were disruptive in Hebrew School and gave us our own class and teacher. In doing so we learned to be the men we became and learned Judaism and respect. He I will never forget for that great mitzvah. Thanks Rabbi Hersch. With love respectfully yours Steven Golden.

May his name be for a blessing for all of us, I have known this Mench of a man since I was 11 years old going back to 1973, and he has done more for me and my family than anyone can imagine. My sincere and deepest of condolences to his wife Joan and her entire extended family.

So sorry to hear about Rabbi . He was a special friend and Rabbi of Edith and Joe Rogoff and the family for 50 years. May his soul rest in peace .

He was my Rabbi and friend for always. Wise and kind and always loving and forgiving
