Not sure what to say?

I improved his diagnostic ability. Might as well be truthful.

My condolences to the family. I fell and cut my wrist as a very young child, my Dad took to Doc's office in N Rose. I believed he was my next door neighbor as I felt so safe with him. Thanks to Dr. Hoople to this day I hate pineapple juice. When he took out my tonsils, I hurt so much I refused to drink--he made a house call and told my Mom to give me juice every hour and all she had was pineapple juice. I remember so much about him that is all positive. He was such a positive influence -...

My condolences to the Hoople family. Dr. Hoople was much more than a family doctor. He was also a family friend to many. Back in the day he made house calls as did most rural Dr.'s. One that I clearly recall was when the good Dr. drove to our home in the middle of the night to attend to me for an asthma attack I had after a winter storm had piled the snow as high as 12 feet in some locations. We heard his car pull up in front of our rural home but could see nothing of him for at least 15...

On one of his house visits to Savannah, he taught me how to play chess, using M & M candies and peanuts for the pieces. We had a checker board, but no chess pieces.
He and Phylis were valued friends and we enjoyed being in the choir with them at N. Rose Methodist.
See you later, Doc.

Praying for all of you to have peace as you say a final goodbye....

Doctor Hoople is familiar to me only by word-of-mouth. I remember hearing about him when I was young; he was my maternal grandparents' doctor. My condolences to his family and patients.

When I was a child I was irrationally afraid of shots. Because I broke a front tooth and it became infected, Dr. Hoople gave me a shot every morning and every evening for two weeks He cured my fear of needles with kindness and 24 shots! He will be remembered fondly.
