Not sure what to say?

Well, how much room do I have to write about Howie? As a boy, we learned that he first came to Pine River Pond to visit his Uncle: Syd Knight. And that man owned the camp next to us that Bob's parents purchased in the late 1960s.

Howie's memory has not faded for us. The epitome of a giver, a participant and idea bringer and a simply amazing joy-filled countenance. Always smiling, joyful and a friend to all. Optimistic, confident -- one of a kind human!

Will always...

Sorry to here my dear friend Howie Knight has passed away. I remember all the great years with Boy Scout Troop 158 in Crystal Lake, IL. We also had great times each year skiing in the Michigan Upper Peninsula with Howie and all our other ski buddies. I will add Howie to my Sunday Prayer.

Howie,I still look for you whenever I go to the PPP . What I wouldn’t give for another game of cribbage.. Be at peace!

He was a wonderful man. Always smiling. He will be missed.

Kelley, you know our thoughts and prayers are with you. Although we are in Florida currently so couldn't make the calling hours, we drank a beer (or two) in Howie's memory this afternoon. Hugs to you, friend.
RIP Howie

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Enjoyed our many rounds of golf!

Always helpful and a genuine friend. We will truly miss him!

Dearest Kelley, Kyle and Family -- one only needs to say Howie's name and out comes fond memories and deep sorrow at his passing from so many many people whom he touched. Someone said "one of a kind" -- yes, for sure. And he attracted others of the same description and when they teamed up -- well, this little community became infinitely better. Kelley, bless you for bringing light back into Howie's world and I am sure he did the same for you. We are better for knowing this amazing person...
