Howard Ray Landers, age 58, of Florence, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence. His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Tommy James officiating. Interment will follow in Barnett Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Landers, and his father-in-law, J.T. Taylor.
Mr. Landers was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, VFW and the American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Pamela Landers; mother, Tillie Landers; three loving daughters, Kimberly Moss and husband, Keith, Courtney Landers and Rachel Landers, also Cassondra Houser; brothers, Marvin, Jimmy and wife, Margaret; sisters, Marie Landers, Evelyn Cameron and husband, Curtis, Vicky Boggus and husband, David; his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Alli, Kristen and Katie Moss, Landon Landers, Ky'Leigh Landers. He also is survived by a special mother-in-law, Dorothy Taylor; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Karen Taylor; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Papaw it's been 6 years now. I miss you more and more everyday. It doesn't get any easier it just keeps getting harder. I miss you so much. I'm now out of high school I know it's hard to believe. I wish you could've been there when I graduated. You being there would've made the night absolutely perfect. Please keep watching over me. I see cardinals all the time and I know it's you. I love you Papaw!

Happy Birthday Honey!!! Well, today you would have been the big 60! HOW, I wish you were here. Howard, I MISS YOU so much sometimes I can"t hardly stand it. You would be so proud, Landon got his 1st report card yesrterday and made all A's. Allie is now a Sophmore, hard to beleive isn't it, She made A, B'S and 1 C, Kristin, whos in the 7th this year, made all A and B's, and Katie whos now in the 4th made all A's. Our kids and grandkids are growing up to fast. How I wish you could see Ky'Leigh...
