It has been an honor to have known your mom and dad. Having them as YNHH volunteers throughout the years has been a great experience. To have two great people with such a wonderful family has been an absolute blessing. Bobbi has been such a void and now Howie. I will truly miss our Tuesday and Thursday smile and chats! Remembering Bobbie and Howie today and always.

Our sincerest condolences to the whole Lurie family on Howie´s passing. He (and Bobbi) were long time, wonderful friends of our parents. Lisa and I will always cherish the memories of our aliyah to Israel with them and the Rabbi years ago. Howie´s was a kind and gentle soul, always with a smile. My dad appreciated him so much for including him in the weekly "lunch bunch" with all of their life long buddies. A real mensch!

The Department of Volunteer Services at Yale New Haven Hospital offers our sincere condolences to the Lurie family. Howie was a dear friend to all of us . He displayed kindness and compassion to our patients for many years as a devoted volunteer . He was a true gentleman and a class act ! A one of a kind and we were blessed that he chose to volunteer with us twice a week for many years . We all adored him and will miss him dearly !
