Worked with Howard at Start High, one of the best guys I have ever come in contact with during my life. So glad that he considered me a friend. Miss seeing him and talking to him. Always remember you Howard.

Mr. Mabel was the Boys Dean at Thomas A DeVilbiss High School when I attended (Class of 77). It was a time when we could use positive role models. A time when I (and many others) had very little respect for authority. A time when I (and many others) felt no one understood or cared.
Mr. Mabel cared, he understood. He was an authority, yet he was approachable. He was one of the most solid role models I knew at a time when the world felt unstable. He was firm yet fair.
