Just know seeing this notice. I worked with Howie at Shipley Newton. I was in the finance dept but got to know this very affable fellow. I grew up in Quincy Point so knowing Howie was living in quincy was a connection with him. My sincere condolences to the family. Seeing his picture brought a smile to my face

Howie will be missed at the Quincy Stamp Club. His sharp sense of humor brightened up the meetings. Part auctioneer, part entertainer, Howie's clever quips would make you smile. My condolences to the MacKay family.

I've known Howie since High School and graduated with him in 1960. Since then, I've had the pleasure of seeing him at many class reunions. It was always a pleasure.
Howie, sorry to see you leave so early, but those are things over which we have no control. Say 'hello' to our (too) many classmates that have gone before you. We'll remember.

I am so very sorry to hear of Howie's passing. He brought a smile to everyone's face with his jokes and puns, his big deep voice and his irrepressible sense of humor. Always a twinkle in his eye! Such a great guy we will miss seeing him at the antique store. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
