My wife and I met "Homer" while walking at the Colonial Park Mall after our 2010 retirements. Homer would ride the CAT bus to the McDonalds on RT 22 for a lunch and then he would come to the Mall where he would catch the CAT bus at Boscov's to return home. It seemed that our schedules were the same and we regularly encountered Homer strolling down the Mall talking with the many folks he knew there and he would always stop and chat with us. It´s been 10 years since I saw Mr. Pigeon. He was one of my favorite members when I worked in Strawberry Square, in Harrisburg, PA. He was always so sweet and kind and I was happy to take care of his banking needs any time he was in. When I retired in 2015 and moved to South Carolina, my colleague, Joanne, gladly took over and helped Mr. Pigeon. She would keep me up to date on how he was doing. I met Mr. Pigeon while walking downtown and getting coffee at Dunkin Donuts when you could still down and enjoy your coffee and chat with other people. We learned we knew many people in common and I enjoyed talking to him about his days on the police force and Harrisburg in the early 1950's and on. I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed someone's company and conversation so much, he was such a gentleman, funny, kind, and so unassuming. I lost touch with him once COVID hit, but have thought...

I have known Pidge for over 30 years.. He was a wonderful man and friend to all who knew him.. So sorry for your great loss.

When I was a young man living in Hall Manor I got to know the pigeon family and I remember Mr pigeon as a Harrisburg policeman.Rest in peace sir, and my condolences to the family
