Not sure what to say?

Dear Vic,
So sorry to hear about your Dad, you are in our thoughts and our prayers. Thanks for doing so much for us when Mom passed away.
Myron and Teresa Hill

This was a letter I wrote to Howard just a few days before his death. I know he is no longer suffering and we will miss him greatly.

Howard,
As you prepare for your journey home we wanted you to know how much we love and respect you. Your love for God and His church shines through everyday. You worked so hard to start the church and you didn’t give up and now we have an active, growing, and spiritually strong congregation of believers.

Your love for us has been so evident and...

Dear Vic,

I hope you know how much your father meant to me and so many others.

And I hope you know that I am here for you whenever and however you need me.

I love and miss you.

Dearest Beth,

The hardest thing in life, is the reality of death and here we are facing this reality - the passing of Howard. I had hoped to have seen you both before time ran out, but it just wasn't to be so. I am somewhat shy as you know, but every time I came to church, Howard was there to greet me with a smile and remember my name. He always made me feel so at home, in fact, you both did. I love you both, and hope that you are able to find strength in this trying time.

But...

To Beth and the Rorrer family,
We were all very sorry to hear of Howard's passing, however we are happy to know that he will no longer suffer. Howard was the epitome of what we all should strive to be, a great Christian. We pray that all the great memories and the love of God will help you through these times.

Dear Beth,
Howard was such a special, special man. The memory of his sweet smiling face warms my heart. When I first moved here he gave me the warmest welcome of all and made me feel right at home. He will be missed terribly by us all. I will keep you and your family in my prayers, for I know each and every day will be new and painful experience without your loving husband. We can rejoice knowing that he is with our God in heaven and he is free of any pain and suffering. Please do...

I didn't know Howard very long, but then you really didn't need to in order to experience his kind and gentle spirit. He was and is a Man of God, and he showed the world that by the way he lived his life. My thoughts and prayers are with the Rorrer family as they celebrate Howard's life.

Just a quick note to express my sorrow in the passing of your Dad. Vic, you have had a tough time with the passing of Brad and now your Dad. I Used to service your machines in years past and knew your family pretty good. I pray that things will go well for you and your family. You are in our prayers, Jerry Nolan

Dear Beth,

September 23rd, 2001 was the first Sunday Kylie and I attended services at LNCC. We knew after that day that we had found a new church home because of the respectful worship given to God and the friendly greeting we received from the congregation. Howard’s warm and gentle nature made an impression on us both. His devotion to God and his hard work to help establish a congregation of Christ’s church in the Lake Norman area earned our deepest respect. He was a good man and...
