Howard Morton Rosenfeld

Howard was a mentor for me in many things. Although he was a generation plus older (funnier and wiser), he was able to reach down, and pull me up, to make choices which today have enhanced my life and the lives of my family. Thank you Howard Rosenfeld, I will miss you. My wife and I extend our condolences to the Rosenfeld family.

I was saddened to read the obit of Howie's passing. You can tell he didn't write it, though, not close to being as funny as Howie would have made it. The column does mention his humor, but doesn't begin to scratch the surface. Howie said and did some of the funniest things imaginable. I had the priviledge of working for and with Howie at Levy's, a store that was second to none here in town, and where Howie's departments were the finest in the city.
