He lived life with vigor and we enjoyed the tales of his exploits.
His passing leaves a great void. He will be missed. Someone else will ultimately move into his house, but his warm and giving spirit will remain.

Howie was so eager to help everyone at every turn. He provided a lot of laughs in the neighborhood. Halloweens on the front porch are our funnest memories.

I was a childhood friend of Howie's and I have fond memories of him.
On my first day of kindergarten at the South Street School, I was crying because I didn't want my mother to leave me there. Howie helped me and became my "little protector" from that time on.
Although I had lost touch with him after high school, I always had happy memories of those earlier days.
I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
