Howard was good friend and boss he was able to make all of us on the wall machine a great team and I will always remember the beer can races and working for Howard in the remodeling biz thinking of Howard brings a smile to my face

Howard gave us young guys working at Solana Lumber Co lots of fatherly advice, back in 1970's. "Use your money wisely, buy a house." He was a great guy and a great boss. Rest in peace. Smitty, wall machine.

Howard was a special loyal friend you could always count on. He told it like it was and had a heart of gold. When we were at the club, the first thing we did was watch for Howard....As he was usually there. We had many fun times sailing and of course, our annual Lobsterfest with our good friends, until Steve left us. Now you're free to sail high and roam the world of the unknown. May the wind always be at your back and lift you to higher places on the otherside. The Jarvis Family...

Howard - You will certainly be missed. Best memories are of when you visited us in Puerto Escondido,. What fun we had fishing and diving.
