Not sure what to say?

i was a kid about 8 or ten years old and we were a team of little kids that learned basketball handling skills and we entertained the fans at half time at the drake games. howard was our coach.

Judy, I think often of the summer that Howard and I were lifeguards together and he introduced me to Joe. It was a wonderful time of my life. Hope you are well.

I was Coach Stacey's gym assistant my Senior year at Durrett. He was a fine man and a great mentor.

I am sad for the passing of Howard and for the grief of family. I have many memories of Howard and John. Also pleasant memories of Judy.

Howard was a great man who helped me tremendously. I truly enjoyed meeting Howard for lunch and talking Louisville Basketball and Real Estate. I enjoyed Howard's leadership as Howard was a truly a Mentor to me.

We were sorry to learn of Howard's passing. Sympathy to Judy, John, David and families.
We still remember good times in the neighborhood when the Stacy and Melbostad boys were growing up.
Sincerely, Tom & Joan Melbostad and family.
