Howard (Jimmy) Stearn, Jr. died at home on August 7, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jacquelyn, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding after 40 years of service.
A graveside service was held on August 11, 2020, officiated by his grandson, Matthew. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home.
Sorry to hear about the passing of Jimmy. We will keep the memories of all of us going to Elizabeth City on the boat through the Dismal Swamp. You are in or thoughts and prayers.
