Howard was a major force in my career. While pursuing my graduate degree, I did computer work at night for Howard. I was a long haired hippy, and dressed in jeans and a t shirt. Once I graduated, Howard told me he would hire me if I "cleaned up my act."

Dear Carol and David,
We are all saddened by Howard’s passing. He was such a kind,, compassionate, intelligent, generous, loving brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. He was a big influence in our lives sharing his knowledge in so many ways. Howard was very family oriented and especially loved having the family over for dinner. My heart aches for you both as you mourn the passing of Uncle Howard. He was the best and funniest Uncle anyone could wish for. From napkin tricks at the dinner table, to jumping/diving into the ball pit at Sesame Place, he always knew how to have a good time and make us laugh.
