Betty and family, I just learned of Howard´s passing from a Calvin post on Facebook, and I am so sorry for your loss. We go very far back together, from California to Shawnee Park church, to our mission trip to Mississippi, to astronomy class at Calvin, to Betty playing the organ at our wedding. I have such wonderful memories of growing up with you as a part of my life, and Howard will be dearly missed. My prayers of comfort and God´s peace to your family. With love, Cheryl Hubers TenBrink

Howard and Betty were generous in their friendship to this visiting Australian. I looked forward to every encounter with Howard whether it was lunch in Grand Haven or debating with Van Till supporters. We shared so much of life's discoveries. Love to Betty and family. Bill Lawton.

May the peace of the Creator be with your family in these times. I never really knew Howard, but I was a student when The Fourth Day was published. I recall dropping off two flowering hanging baskets on the front steps of the home of Howard & Betty, no name attached. I'll forever be thankful for a man of deep faith who believed that science was a doorway into greater understanding of our Creator. Grace & peace & much love to the entire VanTil family.

I had the absolute honor to be a student of Prof vanTil shortly after The Fourth Day was published. Such a legacy. His crown has gained another jewel.

Our sincere sympathies to Betty and her family! As a former "across-the-street neighbor" in Ripon, I have always been so very proud of Howard and his extraordinary accomplishments!! Truly a man of science and of faith! May God rest his soul and grant Betty and their family shalom!

My family lived next-door to the Van Till family on Edgewood for many years. I will never forget how Mr Van Till (as I called him as a youth) helped me fix my broken glasses which kept me out of trouble. I also remember shooting so many baskets in their driveway that they had to replace the net on several occasions. So many memories, please accept my sincere sympathy at the loss of your husband dad grandfather.
