Not sure what to say?

I just came across this obituary today. Saddened to hear that dear Dr. Weiss is no more. I have very fond memories of Dr. Weiss who was chairman of the Dept. of Pediatrics and one instrumental in taking me on as a resident back in 1986!! He and Nancy (the admin assistant and residency program coordinator) made a fabulous team. Dr. Weiss was an astute clinician with a very kind soul! An excellent role model. He was not happy to see me finish Pediatrics and then pursue PM&R but felt relieved...

I remember Howard Weiss from the many times I performed at the Self-Help Home with the Highland Park String Trio. Howard used to introduce us as our MC, and congratulate us profusely after our performances. It was so wonderful to play for such an appreciative classical music aficionado. He was such a jovial and kind man, and seemed much younger than his chronological age. I know he will be sorely missed by his friends and remaining family members.

I worked with Dr. Weiss for many years at Columbus Hospital, an outstanding Physician and human being, he will be missed by all--he was always a gentleman with the Nurses.

. Dr. Howard was a friend. A musician. A gentleman with unending patience & love. You will be missed but the fond memories last forever.
Mark & Joshua, May you find peace in your memories of Howard.
With great affection & overwhelming sadness

It is with great sadness that I feel right now. He was a person I highly respected and admired. He lived a life of dignity and was a great example to emulate. He will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Dr. Weiss.
