Not sure what to say?

I know that my words arrive incredibly late but heartfelt nonetheless. Kerry was one of the first people I met at OWU. He was a kind and gentle friend throughout our years together and I loved him for that. One of my last memories of him was when he, myself, Jeannie and Karl Kuivinen were sitting on the lawn one spring afternoon when we discovered we all shared a birthday. We laughed about it then and it continues to warm my heart all these many years later. Nancy Weidner

Today's Foreign Service would not be what it has become without Kerry's contribution to the creative process. In times of stress his quiet presence kept the team together. What a charming man.

Recently we were talking about you when we met in Bogotá. Me found a letter you sent to us from Paris and as I was searching the internet to look for you, we found this note. Our condolences and prayers to you. RIP. We are between Monterrey and Madrid.

I enjoyed working with Kerry so much; always one to help me keep my sanity, and enjoy a laugh.

Thank you, Kerry, for your endless kindness, patience, and tolerance of human foibles, and for so generously sharing your wisdom and humor. You were a generous and forbearing spirit always, and I will miss you. All my love and sympathy to you, Sharon, and to your entire family.

Sharon, my deepest sympathies to you and your children at this difficult time. Kerry's kind and generous spirit was legendary, as was his creative competence. You enjoyed a full life of wonderful adventures and service together. May you find comfort in your shared memories.

Dear Sharon,

You and Kerry have been very special friends over the years, giving me support and care. I will never forget our times together here is Paris and in Washington.

I will always be here for you, with love and sympathy, Laurence
