I offer my sincerest condolences and sympathy on Howell's passing. My father, Al, was also a member of the Post 42 WWII Last Man's Club and he spoke highly of Howell and others in the club. With both of them being Navy "shipmates" in the Pacific theater during their time in the service was a special bond between them. I'm sure that they shared many "sea stories" through the years. Howell was a positive role model to all for having a positive and fair outlook on all aspects of life. His great smile lit up the room. Most of all Howell loved his children and always wanted the best for them! He will be sorely missed by all who knew him!!!
