Hubert E. Hermanek, Sr. age 84, decorated US Marine Veteran, a fifty year resident of Riverside and a practicing attorney for sixty-two years. Beloved husband and best friend for 58 years to Betty Jo (nee St. Charles). Dear Dad of Marybeth (Richard) Vavrik and Village of North Riverside Mayor Hubert E. (Ana) Hermanek, Jr. Fond brother of the late Thomas (Frances) Hermanek. Loving grandfather to Paula and Keith Hermanek, Dawn (Russell) Palmer and Jason (Abbey) Vavrik. Great-grandfather to Ella Grace Palmer and Camden James Richard Vavrik. Mr. Hermanek was a proud graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and a retired Captain of the Riverside Police Auxiliary Corps with over thirty years of dedicated service. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home 10501 W. Cermak Road (2 blks. W. of Mannheim Road) Westchester on Friday July 5, 2013 from 3 to 9 pm. Service and eulogies will be conducted at 7 pm. Family service and interment will be private on Saturday. Arrangements entrusted to Riverside Funeral Directors, The Original Kuratko Family-Directors.
