As a representative calling on Mr Parks, I would say he was as tough as they come. My memories of Mr Hubert Parks will always be that he was a straight forward and honest man. Although he was a very busy and a influential man he treated me with respect even as a young man when none was earned. I think he was a great asset to the auto industry and to the local community. Please accept my sympathy during this time of mourning. Add myself to the list of those who will never forget...

I recall Mr. Parks mainly as my Dad and he were cousins Bill Smothers. I visited your family with Dad as a child and he and Dad were later doing business together. Many childhood loving stories I heard. Be proud he made a large contribution to many lives.

my mother bought her first new car at parks back in 1967. she became a widow shortly after and couldn't make the payments. the folks at the dealer ship after waiting as long as they could took posession of her car. they told her the car would be there waiting on her when she could get back on her feet. true to their word she was able to go back and get her car. a ships only as good as its captain and i believe mr parks was a wonderful captain with a big heart.

I worked at Parks Chevrolet for 18 months in 1982-83. I found myself needing a car shortly after beginning to work there, but being fresh out of high school I had no credit or other resourses to get a loan. Well one day I noticed Mr. Parks watching me work. He watched me for about 30 minutes, then went on about his day.I asked H.B. Foust why he was watching me and he replied "You'll see". Later in the day the finance dept. told me that Mr. Parks "OK'ed" me to get a car. Thanks Mr. Parks, you...
