Hubert W. Woodruff

Hubert was born on July 14, 1923 and passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019. He attended Peoria Central High School where he met Helen Siepert, the woman he would eventually marry. He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII as a Pilot Commander of a B-17 Bomber, acquiring 756 hours of military flight time and rising to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Rankin Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Parkview Cemetery, in Peoria, Illinois.
