HUDSON HEWITT Obituary

Hudson A. Hewitt, 83, of Palm Coast, was called to glory on May 2, 2011. He was born to the late Irvin and Edith Hewitt, on February 20, 1928, in Gatun, Panama. Hudson graduated from Balboa High School in 1946. He married the late Valdimira Medrano de Hewitt August of 1962, and they lived together in New York City, before relocating to Palm Coast in 1993. Hudson worked as Chief Editor for the United Nations in the heart of New York, before retiring after 28 years of service in 1988. Hudson and his late wife Valdimira Hewitt were members of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The viewing will be held today (Mon, May 9, 2011) at 4:00 pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 10:30 am. The viewing and funeral services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church located at 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL. All arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL. He is survived by his two sons: Julio A. Hewitt and his wife Toni, of Bear, Delaware, and Dr. Mark A. Hewitt and his wife Allison, of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by his brother, Rev. Basil Hewitt and his wife Hermin, of Georgetown Maryland. In addition, Hudson, who was affectionately known as "GP", "Grandpa", "Papa Hudson" and "Pop Pop" will be missed by his five grandchildren: Anjel, Jalisa, Anthony, Dejah, and Mylah Hewitt; and two great-grand-children, Xavier and Xander.
