Dear Acton Family-
I just learned the sad news of your fathers passing, and my heart broke for you. I met your father a few years ago and bought one of his beautiful walnut benches, and really enjoyed spending time with him. His Stackers surround my dining table, and his planters sustain my houseplants. Thank you Hugh for adding so much beauty to my everyday life!

He taught me how to work large pieces of copper into sculptures, I gave him an entryway into the world wide web. Hugh was a delightful man and I greatly enjoyed our discussions. I will miss him.

On behalf of the Art Center of Battle Creek board of directors, staff, members and friends, we are truly saddened to hear of Hugh's passing.
