Not sure what to say?

I first met Hugh and Martha in 1976 while participating in a summer program on British history at Oxford University. I was doing a web search this week just to see if I could find Hugh again to reconnect and maybe share a few stories of that wonderful summer. I was so sad to learn that he passed away last year. I´ll remember Hugh as a charming, kind, thoughtful and intelligent person, and one gone from us way too soon. I smiled to learn that he spent many years in Santa Fe after retiring and...

I´m very sorry to hear that Hugh is gone. We spent a lot of time together at UofD High where we both sang in the Glee Club. We traveled together after graduation on a 7 week trip through South America, singing on a promotional tour with Youth for Understanding - a student exchange program. He had a great sense of humor, and was fun to be around. My condolences for your loss.

Sympathy and condolences to Hugh's family. We were classmates and fellow Glee Club members at U of D High. His voice and musical talents will be missed.

So sad to hear of Hugh's passing. Working in the same office off and on beginning in 1981 I always enjoyed his smiling, mildly ironic comments about our workplace. He seemed a gentle soul who fortunately for all of us felt no need to be anything else. I see now that I missed my chances to discuss music with him, although we did chat some about wine. Hugh helped me a great deal when I retired from government by hooking me up with a good company as a contractor.

Hugh was an invaluable and much appreciated omnipresence in our community, and as chair of the neighborhood association. He will be greatly missed. Our sympathy and condolences to his family.
