I have known Hugh since 1972 when I began to practice law in Charlotte. I enjoyed his company when he became a judge and we both served in Charlotte. We met in a number of situations from social events at my home to investor meetings. He had a wry wit, engaging personality, wide range of interests, and was a delightful conversationalist.
