I worked at the Brig in Point Loma with Allison for 10 years in the 70’s and 80’s and we quickly became close friends. When Hugh came into Allison’s life that girl became whole. Never have I met a couple that were so perfectly matched. They both exuded love and life. It is rare to find the perfect match in a partner, but they found each other. You will be missed Hugh Carpenter. Rest in love Hugh.

Hugh and I have been friends since the third grade. His infectious smile, caring and selfless generosity were who he was from the time I first met him till the day he passed. Hugh was supercharged with that selfless love for others when he met and married Allison. They found the simple secret to a good life, love with all your heart.
