Not sure what to say?

Viola, I never met Hugh personally but, like so many others followed his entries on RORT with interest. He was always on my list of people I wanted to meet in my travels. My condolences to you and your family on your loss.

Vi, We are so saddened by the death of Hugh. He will be missed by so many. We enjoyd visiting with the two of you in Florida and his fishing in out pond out back. We will be praying for the family as well as you.
It's not always someone croses our paths for such a short time.
May God bless our paths that have passed so shortly.

Vi, our prayers are with you. We know Hugh is in a better place. We so enjoyed the times we met with you, and especially when we went for fish in "skinny atlas"!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm another of the many who met Hugh through RORT. I enjoyed his sense of humor, insight, and respect for those who didn't always agree with him.

I will miss him greatly.

I'm a "lurker" most of the time on the newsgroup (RORT) and I just wanted to express my sadness at the loss of Hugh. His was a "voice of reason" in a sometimes unreasonable group and I always appreciated his point of view.

Hugh Darling was filled with love and pride for his family. Our deepest sympathy to them. We will miss the guy who teased us about Bob's stories -- and had so many of his own. Hugh was a real down-home American family man. We were fortunate to have met him in person as well as the on Internet where innumerable people also knew him as a friend.

To the family of Hugh Darling.. Only knew Hugh as 'HD in NY'.. but read and responded to some posts he made on RORT RV newsgroup. As with many folks who post there it was easy to feel I "knew" him.. Also to feel loss of a fellow RV'r.. My condolences..

Dear Viola and family,
I am a sometimes reader of the RV newsgroup and I just want you to know that I loved Hugh's posts. I used to read what he wrote and think "he is the SWEETEST" man! I'm sorry I never got to meet him in person.

My sympathy to you all in your great loss .... but I know he is *heaven's gain*.

I am so very sad that this world has lost Hugh Darling. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word; a human being full of grace and love. He appreciated all of G-d's creatures and the beauty of Nature.

Barry and I much enjoyed his company when we visited with him and Viola a few years ago and I was deeply touched by his constant prayers for me when I was ill.

Viola and family, though you grieve now, know that you were blessed to have had Hugh in your life. He was a very...
