Attending Harkins Shea 14 years ago I went to the customer service window for pop corn tickets and in front of me was Hugh Downs. He was buying tickets for future movies. We talked and I told him I can not get the theme song from the 1954-1957 Home Show which I watched on TV as a child. He could not stop laughing about that and said he had not thought about the Home Show in many years (Hugh appeared on that show many years ago). Hugh and Ruth were wonderful people! I had the privilege of working for them in Arizona. Gracious, talented, intelligent, adventurous, kind, caring, as was their family I met too. Their love for each other and their children and grandchildren showed every day . May they RIP and continue their new adventures!
