Not sure what to say?

Uncle Hugh was more than just, an “Uncle”, he was a friend. He always had time to listen and to care. For so many, he made a difference. The world is a better place because of him.

I first met Hugh in the early '70s when I became a part of the Sales/Advertising Office at Nationwide Insurance. He always had a smile and ready to help me in any way he could. Such nice memories. My thoughts and prayers are with Sheila and the family.

Hugh Flaherty was truly one of a kind. He was my mother's brother. He was a role model for me. I always admired his quiet manner - the way he listened - the way he never lost an opportunity to congratulate me on an achievement or just to keep in touch. He was the best letter writer I know - but his daughter Kelly is running a close second. I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.

TO THE FAMILY OF HUGH FLAHERTY,SO SORRY TO HEAR OF HUGH'S PASSING.I WISH TO EXTEND MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES,AND SINCERE SYMPATHY TO MARY SHEILA AND THE ENTIRE FAMILY.I CAME TO KNOW HUGH AT THE 'VILLAGE'AS A RESIDENT, THEN AS A FRIEND TO BOTH SHEILA AND HUGH. HE WILL BE SURELY MISSED ,HE WAS A FINE MAN.AS EVER,WITH LOVE RON CRAWFORD,'THE VILLAGE DRIVER'

We are so terribly sorry to hear about Mr. Flaherty's passing. He was always so kind to us and we always looked forward to seeing him and Mrs. Flaherty each month. He will be truly missed.
