Not sure what to say?

Hi Dad!! Mom reminded me tonight that it has been six months since you passed... Oh, dad , it seems like only a couple of months ago!!!

Dad , I love your so much - and we all miss you so much!!! Oh dad, you were the bravest soul I ever saw, battling that cancer. Everything is different without you - your birthday, Thanks giving. Oh dad , come back!!! I know you can't - but I wish you could.

Dad, oh dad, I just can't believe you are not with us!!! You were always so larger...

Dearest Dad,

" Love is stronger than death."

Dad, my love for you only grows greater as the days go by since you passed. What wonderful love, courage in the face of your cancer and your sense of humour you left for all of us. Thank you dad. We miss you so much - all of us do - but not a day goes by that we don't think of you , and love you.

I love you dad. I am so happy for all of the precious time we had together. We'll still be celebrating Father's Day this year -...

Tannis,
I am very sorry for your loss. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Hugh was really cool, he always remembered to think young, to listen to the odd things that drift by in life. He also had some great toys, his life added some luxury to mine. And of course he had a wonderful family. I always think of the Forbes when I see Aristocats. The photo of Hugh smiling is perfect. We were all lucky for the time we had with him.

Hugh was our neighbour for many years. Although he was a very private person, he was always friendly and willing to help regardless of whether it was some advise on which routes to take when on a driving holiday, what was wrong with the car, helping with the disposal of some trees and branches at the recycling depot or bringing home our wayward beagle when he and Penny were taking their dogs for a walk.

We didn't see much of him until his retirement, but we knew him to be a caring and...

So sorry to hear of Hugh's passing. My deepest sympathy to the family I grew up with Hugh and was a chum of his in Wpg.I have never met a funnier or more dedicated person than Hugh. When he first started logging hours i and another chum (Bodo) drove him to the U.S. to fly some Mustangs back to Wpg.He had many a tale to tell. Rest in peace my friend.

Hugh & Penny with Glenn & Lois at Hanauma Bay, 1975

Hugh was my favourite cousin and we had known each other since childhood. His Aunt Marjorie was my maternal grandmother and she brought him with her to visit our family in Alberta several times during the early to mid 1950's. A couple of decades later my first wife, Lois, and I shared a memorable holiday with Hugh and Penny in Oahu, Hawaii which I will always treasure. After Lois' death, also to cancer, Hugh and Penny readily accepted my new wife, Kathleen, into their circle of family and...

We are very sorry for your loss. Hugh sounded like a very good husband, father, and grandfather (it is a rare quality in this age)We are glad you have had such a rare soul to love for these years you have spent together as a happy family.

Dear Penny and family,

"The greatest gift a father can give his children, is to love their mother"....

In loving memory of a favorite cousin who had a great wit and an unforgettable smile.
