Hugh Frank Hinton

My deepest condolences to the entire family. First as a friend, then as a student, and later as a fellow faculty member, Hugh Hinton deeply touched my life. I admired him; I respected him; I was always in awe of his intelligence, and yes, also, his humor. He certainly was a major mentor in my life.
I wish I could have extended my condolences in person; however, I am in my Mesa, Arizona winter home and learned of Hugh's passing too late to arrange to be there.
