Dear Betsy, What a perfect picture of dear Hugh. A wonderful and unforgettable friend, we will miss him but believe we´ll all be together again someday. Our love to you, dear Betsy, and to your family, and prayers for your peace and comfort. Lanay and Rob

Betsy, my condolences to you and the family. Hugh was a year behind me at Montpelier HS. We played football as guard and tackle on the left line as well as middle linebackers on defense. We were close friends until a couple of years into college. Unfortunately we did not keep in touch He was definitely one of the "good guys" and as I read his accomplishments, he definitely left his mark in this world.

I met Hugh in 1975 when I worked for US Bankruptcy court and he also did the closing on my 1st home Always a kind, honest, sincere man My heartfelt condolences

To the Jones family...So sorry to hear of the passing of Hugh. I have known him for over 30 yrs. coming to the clerk's office/ record room We will miss him. Raye Hawkins Smith Lynchburg Circuit Court

I remember Hugh from our times playing rugby together for the Lynchburg Rugby Club back in the mid to late 1970s. He was always an easy going, humble guy but was a force on the rugby pitch. Obviously those memories have remained with me for almost 50 years. I am sure that his family has many, many more that will provide strength during this time.
