When I was a first year teacher at Fairmount Elementary in the FHSD, I had 36 students and no additional help. Dr. Kinney appeared at my classroom door one day, saw the situation that the students and I were in. By the next week, I had a permanent paraprofessional! I'll never forget the fact that the action he took made my first year of teaching manageable. Today, 20 years later, I love teaching. Dr. Kinney got me off on the right foot.
I will miss him.

My deepest sympathy to the Kinney family. As a Pattonville student I am proud he was our superintendent. He help make our school district one of the best. He retired to take care of his health and now God called him home. He is whole, but will be missed.

My sympathies to the Kinney family. I worked in the Francis Howell School District at the time he left for another position. He was missed due to his friendliness and professionalism with the staff.

What a great, wonderful and special man! He hired me back in June, 1984; took a chance on a "tiny Texan" who didn't know much about Missouri Special Education law, but he was willing to give me a try at Francis Howell! I thought the world of Hugh, and will hold special memories of him!

To the Kinney family - Dr. Kinney was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. His legend will continue and one day, (when the shock is over) you will find comfort realizing just how many people he touched and enfluenced. My prayers are with all of you as you go thru the grieving process. Gail Crosby, Pattonville parent and daughter of a former Pattonville superintendent.
