"Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again; Though lovers be lost love shall not....

You were a true and wonderful friend and mentor Hugh. I pray you have smooth sailing and that we will see each other again. My heart goes out to you Jean, in your time of sorrow.

May your future be softened by all the memories you and Hugh made. Your time in Mexico was full of them, I'm sure. I send you my love and care.

Sorry to see you go, Hugh. You will be missed at RCYC.

My thoughts are with Hugh's family and loved ones at this time. Go with Love, Hugh

Our times together were so memorable - being out on the river summer and winter. Some of my best memories with Stephen include you!
Happy sailing, Hugh.

Dr. Ivan Lovell was my history teacher the fall of 1947 at Willamette. He was a wonderful teacher and must have been proud of his son Hugh. My respects to the family.

As a freshman at Willamette in 1947 Dr. Ivan Lovel was my world history professor. I loved his classes and still may have the notes I took that fall term. He was one of the best teachers I ever had! So may I pay my respects to his son's family. I'm sure Dr. Lovell was very proud of his son.

God bless you, Hugh. We had many fun times with you & Steven and even on your sailboat. Rest in the same grace you shared your life on this sweet earth. We know you & Steve are sailing together once again! Ahoy. Kind and loving regards to those who stay behind, mourning your passing.
