Hugh D. "Jack" Morris Jr.

I knew Jack from the many hiking trips the La. Hiking Club organized. He and Regina always made the trips more enjoyable. I admired their spirit and their physical endurance. Jack was a true gentleman and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. Nor did I ever see or hear him complain. I only wish he would've shared with us his involvement with the space program, but Jack was not one to boast.

I first met Jack at the Louisiana Hiking Club Camp Fest at Toledo Bend. He and I helped in the cleanup...,scrubbing the pots and pans. He didn´t mind getting his hands dirty! The next time we were together was the Utah hiking trip. Another lady and I were always last to end the hike. Jack made sure we were ok. On this trip I have fond memories of him talking about Regina and how much he was enjoying the outdoors with her and the hiking club. He was a wonderfully gentle man. My condolences...

I had the pleasure of meeting Jack a few years back on a hiking trip in Utah. Since that time, we have shared a few more hikes and I always enjoyed those opportunities to visit with him. My sympathies to the family and Regina.

Jack, as an only child, you bravely accepted Polly´s five stubborn German siblings. You were warmly welcomed and were truly loved. I cherish all our wonderful memories. RIP Dear Brother.

Rest in peace, Uncle Jack. I have fond childhood memories of you and Aunt Polly.

Thank you Jack for the gentle and genuine kindness you so willingly offered me. You welcomed this stranger to a family.

Jack was certainly one of the Good Guys! He will be missed. I enjoyed worshiping with him at Trinity Luther Church, and fellowship in Bible Class.
