When I received word of Hugh's passing my immediate thoughts were his kindness. When my mother was in the last days of her life in hospice Hugh and Diana would come by and visit it would brighten up her day. My sister Mary and I will always be grateful to Hugh and Diana for that.
It was so interesting talking to Hugh about city projects and some of the characters that ran city departments, since we were both city employees. I also enjoyed talking baseball with Hugh about the Giants and his...
