Hugh was a man filled with joy and he brightened our corner of the earth in beautiful ways. We always enjoyed his visits to our exercise room and for lunches here at the senior center. He will be long remembered as a friend. He loved our mountain...as do I.

Hugh (my Forest Gump), you will be missed. Meeting you on our shared FL condo bench and discovering both our summer mountain homes in Mitchell County, NC shared the peaceful healing lifestyles we needed and enjoying many discussions of our concerns about love for our families, grief, and faith. Deepest condolences to all who knew and loved this amazing servant of God! He was an inspiration to those who knew him and to those whose lives he impacted through his selfless acts of compassion. May his name be honored in the halls of the Almighty, and may peace and understanding come to those he loved but had to leave behind.
