I was honored to be The Maid of Honor for Hugh's marriage to my dear friend June Kootz in White Bear Lake, MN. They were most generous and thoughtful in including me in many of their activities in Cambridge, Delray Beach, Fla. and White Bear Lake I got to know Hugh quite well and found him to be such an interesting and knowledgeable man. Dear Hugh, Thank you for sharing this with me. I will miss Hugh and Dad. They led a great life and produced so much good in our country. We must give them many thank yous for all they have given us. I know they are at peace and we shall always remember Hugh and his accomplishments. Please give my condolences to all the rest of his family. Uncle Hugh - Over the years I had very little time spent with Hugh, but when I did he always left a lasting impression on me. He was so gracious to share his home with my husband and I several times. He was a very generous man towards his Mother and my Father. So many times my Father would talk about their Sunday calls together and would let me know how Hugh was doing. Hugh came to my wedding and saw all the gifts and silver. He said " I can not think anything you could wish for more...
